sexual shit aside [for a moment RELAX] jamie getting to be submissive in any sense for someone, makes me wanna run into a wall. especially with his season one dialogue talking about his dad “calling me ‘soft’ if i didn’t dominate”. i know he’s talking about the game here, but football is literally his lifeblood and it seeps into every other facet of jamies life. and when you meet him at the start, this amped up pitch persona is how he carries himself off field too. not that he isn’t a cocky prick as well, but over the course of show we see the pieces of him bubble up and slot together more and more. dont think i need to tap the [he contains multitudes sign] every post i make about jamie but im just word vomiting here so [taps away]. this soft side, jeered pretty boys from the crowd, looming voice of his dad whatever, just the idea that he could shut that up. relax and be comfortable enough with that side of him, enough to give himself over to someone and just get out his head, sink into it and kneel for a few hours or whatever. summary: After telling Roy about what happened in Amsterdam, Jamie starts having weird nightmares. He guesses Roy must have been right about what happened being ‘traumatizing’. After thinking about how he’s had seemingly out of proportion or totally random negative reactions to sex, Jamie realizes even though he doesn’t fully remember what happened his body clearly does. He has triggers, apparently, he just has no clue what they are. He decides he should find out, with Roy and Keeley’s help.
chapter one: Jamie/OFC hookup, Jamie/Keeley FWB

Roy doesn’t say anything when Jamie opens the door to him this time. He lifts his gigantic stupid eyebrows, somehow pointedly but not judgmentally. Jamie nods miserably.
“Off day with me tomorrow,” Roy says, once the girls have come and gone and Jamie is doing pushups with Roy’s feet on his back. “Just regular training at the club. Sleep the fuck in.” Jamie doesn’t mean to, but he laughs out loud, blowing sidewalk dust up into his face.
When Jamie doesn’t respond to Roy’s expectant silence, he digs his heels hard into Jamie’s back until Jamie gasps in pain and lets himself collapse. He groans, high-pitched, drawn-out, and as annoying as possible, in a fake bid for pity. He pictures Roy’s eye roll in his mind’s eye, since he can’t see it from face down in the dirt. Even today, it still makes him smile.
“Not having another breakdown,” Jamie mutters when Roy starts growling. He curls his arms under his head for a pillow, facing away from Roy and into the distance of the park. “Only 'cause… Probably the same breakdown.”
“Thought that was about playing at City?” Roy asks. His voice is oddly gentle, rare for him to use even on Phoebe. It falls over Jamie’s shoulders like a blanket so fluffy it’s weightless. And maybe it could smell like warm sugar or something. That’d be nice.
“Maybe,” Jamie says, his voice mumbly and the sounds all soft, like the imaginary Roy blanket. “Maybe I was having two at the same time, then.” Roy grunts.
“Bow pose,” he says eventually. He leaves his feet where they are, but Jamie bends far enough that they end up sliding down his back to rest on his bum. And that’s that.
After training at the club, Jamie decides it’s time to start trying to figure this out. It doesn’t take him long to retrace his steps back to Amsterdam. Roy must’ve been right, and now it’s been brought up it’s not going back down without giving Jamie hell first.

I totally agree, but I’m curious. What kind of pain play DO you think Jamie would be into?
Well, he loves having his hair pulled I’ll tell you that right now.
Off the top of my head some other non-impact pain play options: pinwheel/similar, wax, ice, predicament bondage, overstimulation (I think legit CBT would be a little too hardcore for him but he could enjoy some chafing or forced orgasm or maybe a little bit of teeth during a bowie), scratching/biting/etc, he could probably get off on being tattooed if he chose to be in that mindset for it, just regular rough stuff that can hurt like being pressed against a hard surface/having his arm twisted behind him/getting fucked in a way to be sore in the morning/etc.
I think he’s kind of midcore erring toward soft when it comes to kink tbh (despite not really enjoying vanilla either). He just likes the way a little sting or a little burn or a little soreness feels.
I also kind of headcanon that Jamie was sexually experienced in terms of number of partners when he met Keeley, but inexperienced when it came to acts and dynamics (and also intimacy tbh). And in between, he just went back to what he was doing before her until he got tired of it/wasn’t so scared of being alone/had other priorities and then was single-not-mingling for a while before getting with Keeley and Roy. Add to that how much of a people pleaser his emotional neediness and huge ego make him lmao, and he’s pretty much Roy and Keeley’s programmable sexbot. He has like three or four things he doesn’t like, and other than that the only limits are the other two’s imaginations lol.
I will also add though I think he is kind of ambivalent toward toys (aside from the strap, but like that’s not really a toy so much as it’s Keeley’s dick, you know?). He prefers direct body-body touch! So for pain he’d be down for whatever-except-impact, but he’d have a preference for hair pulling, scratching, biting, and non-impact roughing up.
(He can - and sometimes does - get off a little bit on being overworked too, but obviously that’s QUITE rare because it’s bad for his health and work performance. Also that would have to be the most negotiation-heavy thing he and Roy ever do so Jamie’s totally aware the whole time Roy doesn’t mean it or that would be very very Bad.)
